Biography
Dr. Brodsky is a native of Houston, Texas, where he graduated with the highest honors from Bellaire High School. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University, where he studied pre-medical sciences as well as History and Literature of Latin America, in which he received an honors degree. After completing their medical training, Dr. Brodsky and his wife, who is also a physician and a native Texan, returned to Texas with their young family to practice at Baylor University Medical Center, Dallas. That was almost 40 years ago, and he has had a happy and productive career here. He is proud to have led the foot and ankle section at Orthopedic Associates of Dallas, which has now grown to a team of seven orthopedic surgeons specializing in foot and ankle surgery. He is very proud of each of his talented partners, Christian Royer MD, Babu Reddy MD, Jacob Zide MD, David Vier MD, Shannon Alejandro MD, and Eitan Ingall MD, all of whom have faculty appointments in the Foot and Ankle Surgery Fellowship program at Baylor University Medical Center as well as the Baylor University Medical Center Orthopedic Residency. Dr. Brodsky was elected to the prestigious American Orthopaedic Association in 2002 for leadership in orthopedic surgery. He was also a past President of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society. In 2021, Dr. Brodsky was named Pillar of the Society, from the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society, recognizing his lifetime contributions as “Surgeon, Teacher, and Leader.” Dr. Brodsky received the 2024 Distinguished Alumnus Award from Case Western University School of Medicine. He has been an orthopedic foot and ankle visiting professor and invited lecturer all across the United States, as well as Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, UK, Norway, Sweden, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa, Israel, China, Japan, New Zealand, and Australia. Dr. Brodsky has been named one of Texas Monthly's Texas Super Doctors for over 10 years earning him a place on Texas Monthly's Hall of Fame list. D Magazine has named Baylor Scott & White Orthopedics the "Face of Orthopedics" for 2026.
