Biography
Dr. Vallabhan is board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He practices general cardiology with a special interest in complex procedures such as complex/high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions and radial artery catheterization and interventions. Dr. Vallabhan also specializes in valvular heart disease, including procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). He also has an interest in the treatment of hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy (HOCM) with a procedure called alcohol septal ablation. Dr. Vallabhan is well known for his numerous published articles, presentations and teaching positions. Dr. Vallabhan is a member of the faculty for the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship Program at Baylor University Medical Center and the program director for the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a fellow of the Society of Cardiac Angiography & Interventions and a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine.
