Sara J. Mucowski, MD

Dr. Mucowski was accepted into a six-year combined bachelor of science/medical degree (BS/MD) program with Villanova University and Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed the rigorous program while serving as an emergency medical technician, volunteering her time to provide medical care to the communities of Villanova University and surrounding towns. After graduating with honors, Dr. Mucowski ventured to Galveston, TX, where she completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Medical Branch. During her time at UTMB, Dr. Mucowski was commended as chief resident, received awards for excellence in medical student teaching, and was given top honors for her research in embryo placentation. Dr. Mucowski received fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. During her time as a fellow, she presented her research internationally, published several papers in peer-reviewed journals and was again awarded top honors for her research. She also received additional training in minimally invasive surgery, specifically using the da Vinci robotic system. Dr. Mucowski is board certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She has a special interest in fertility preservation, having undergone egg freezing for delayed childbearing. Dr. Mucowski feels privileged to assist each patient in realizing her dreams of building a family. She recognizes that every situation is unique and tailors treatment to each individual to help maximize success.
