Shekhar Ghamande, MD

Dr. Ghamande has been in practice in pulmonary and critical care medicine since 2003. His practice involves pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine with roughly 40% of the time spent in the ICU. As a program director of the pulmonary & critical care fellowship, he organizes the education and runs the fellowship. He advocates for a patient-centered, evidence-based medicine curriculum that fosters scientific inquiry and also focuses on the fellows' well-being. He is involved in research, and quality improvement and has numerous publications and presentations at National meetings.


Dr. Ghamande's areas of expertise include sleep apnea, idiopathic hypersomnia, narcolepsy, COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pneumonia, sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome, and acute respiratory failure.
